Here is the actual case of
reincarnation that Jesus very plainly pointed out.
Start with
Mal. 4:5 I will send you Elijah the prophet...(Elijah is the greek
spelling for Elias)
Elijah's, (Elias's ) life time is recorded
in 1 Kings 17:1 through 2 Kings 2:11 when he was taken to Heaven by a
chariot of fire. He lived as a man, and as a prophet, at one time he
was fed by birds, Ravens, he was God's faithful servant, and through
God, could heal the sick, and raise the dead, and cause the rain and
dew to cease, until he gave the command.
Now let us fast forward
to Mark 1:2 Behold, I send my messenger before thy face. Now John the
baptist is concieved and born, see Luke 1:5 - 17 And he shall go before
him in the Spirit and power of Elias The angel instructs
the Father Zacharias to call the baby's name John (the baptist) so
Elias was born again, only this time his name is John, still not
convinced, read on.
Mt 11: 12-14 For all
the prophets and the law prophesied unto John. 14. And if ye will
receive it, this IS Elias, which was for to come. 15. He that
hath ears to hear, let him hear. (Indeed, what could be plainer
spoken)
Mt 17:10 - 14 And his disciples asked him , saying, Why
then say the scribes that Elias must first come? 11 And Jesus answered
and said unto them,Elias truly shall first come,
and restore all things. 12 But I say unto you, that Elias is come
already, and they knew him not, but have done unto him whatsoever they
listed. Likewise shall also the Son of man suffer of them. 13.
Then the disciples understood that he spake unto them of
John the Baptist.
This discussion occurred
after John had
been beheaded. (These verses are again repeated in Mk 9: 11 - 13 Also
see Lk 1:17 and Lk 7:27
Compare the lifetimes of Elias, and
John; notice how Elias caused the rain and dew to cease, and I imagine
a lot of people went hungry, they may have had to eat only locust and
wild honey, just as John later ate himself, in a very dry desert. Also
Elias had the Idol worshipping priests, beheaded, and as John, he was
also beheaded.
In John 1:21, John is asked if he is Elias, he
deny's it, but considering that we can't for the most part recall our
past lives, and that he was, at that point in time, really John, and
not Elias; so he indeed was telling the truth. Jesus had a greater
knowledge of the whole plan of creation.
John 3:5 - 6. Look on
it again, hopefully with new eyes; "Except a man
be born of water and the spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of
God." A baby is encased in a bag of "water's" before birth,
and the water could refer to baptism, and if you take away my body,
what you have left is my spirit. Being born again of the spirit
is
reincarnating, and baptism I believe, is a symbol of reincarnating,
when you are
baptised, you come out of the water feeling clean and new, but when you
are litterly born again, you ARE a New
Creature
Here is another confusing verse, until we
look more closely....."It is appointed unto man, once to die, and after
that the judgement". Heb.9:27 Yes if
we can either live perfect or pay for our deeds, good or bad, all in one
lifetime, thus fulfilling the law of karma, we don't need to come back.
Reincarnation IS THE JUDGEMENT.
The disciples indeed
understood reincarnation, when they asked Jesus "Who did sin, this
man or his parents, that he was BORN blind." John 9:2 Again,
how can one sin before birth?
